  5. Marshall Islands
  6. Micronesia (Federated States of)
  7. Nauru

Further, national human rights institutions play a leading role in the area of human rights. One such institution does exist in the Pacific – it is the Fiji Human Rights Commission established by the 1997 Constitution of the Republic of the Fiji Islands. The Commission is mandated to educate the public about human rights and to make recommendations to the government about matters affecting human rights.
